Wrestlemania 34 predictions

Thanks to Xavier Woods, who came to Barcadia in New Orleans and gave me the opportunity to win tickets to Wrestlemania (which I did) I will be attending my first Wrestlemania tonight in New Orleans. These are my predictions for what will happen.

Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali

I have not watched the Cruiserweight division as much as I would have liked. But I think Cedric Alexander will win this one.

The First-Ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

Sonya Deville

The Fifth Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Battle royals are pretty hard to predict. But i believe that Matt Hardy will procure himself the trophy.

Cesaro & Sheamus (c) vs. Braun Strowman & a partner of his choosing

I think Strowman and his partner will take it because I believe he is due a belt with how over he has been. I don’t think it will matter who the partner is. It could be James Ellsworth or Elias. If I had to pick right now who I thought it would be, it would be Big Show.

United States Championship Fatal 4-Way Match
Randy Orton (c) vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev

I think it would be fitting for Rusev to win the match on Rusev Day.

Raw Women’s Championship Match
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax

Nia Jax also deserves to wear the belt for how kick ass she has been so far. Part of me was a little surprised at how far the WWE allowed Bliss to go with her becoming a heel. The fat shaming, at some point, felt a little much. However, the payoff of Jax defeating Bliss after all that shaming will make it more understandable. So Nia Jax wins.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match
The Usos (c) vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers

I want to cheer on The New Day since I got my tickets from Woods. However, I believe the Bludgeon Brothers will take it.

Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat Match
The Miz (c) vs. Finn Bálor vs. Seth Rollins

My wife will be cheering for Finn. However, I believe that they are going to allow The Miz to retain and become the longest reigning IC champ.

Tag Team Match
Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Owens and Zayn will win because Bryan will turn on Shane.

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Asuka

Ultimately, Carmella is going to cash in her money in the bank and become champion at the end of the night. I don’t think the WWE is going to let Asuka’s streak end like that. So that is why I believe that Charlotte will end the streak after a hard fought match and then will lose the belt with the cash in.

Mixed Tag Team Match
Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey (#TeamRousey) vs. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon (#TeamMcMahon)

Originally I believed that Rousey would turn on Angle. However, I don’t see two turns happening in the same night. So I think Rousey and Angle win, perhaps with both Angle and Rousey making Team McMahon tap at the same time.

WWE Championship Match
AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

This is going to be the best match of the night and it is difficult to predict this one. Money probably has Nakamura winning. However, I believe Styles will retain.

Universal Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns

I am 50/50 on this one. Reigns is getting a big push. He beat the Undertaker. He beat Strowman in Elimination Chamber. It seems that this whole story is building for him to walk of out Mania as champ. However, is the whole idea that Lesnar is leaving a work? I mean it seems a little silly for everyone to know that a star is leaving and for the belt to be dropped that way. A better story line on that would be having the star retire the champ and then having two stars fight for the belt. So for that reason, I think that Lesnar will surprisingly retain, leave, and have the belt determined either on Raw or a tournament to culminate at a future pay per view.

John Cena v Undertaker

It’s happening, we all know it is happening, and when it does Undertaker will win and John Cena will sell it as being the most awesome loss he has ever had of his career. Undertaker walks out on top and retires after winning his final Wrestlemania in the city where his streak was broken.
